Introducing Inai, an AI Agent of HashTMS
Run a transport operation for a week and you can feel where it leaks. A vendor who would have quoted a sharp rate never got the call. A trip closes but the paperwork lags. An overdue invoice sits because nobody had a minute to chase it. None of these are big failures. They are small gaps between one step and the next, and they add up quietly every single day.
That is the problem Inai is built to close, and today we are launching it inside HashTMS. Inai takes its name from the Tamil word for connection and pairing, இணை, because its job is to bridge those gaps and keep your operation moving without waiting on someone to notice.
What Inai is
Inai is the AI inside HashTMS. It is not a single feature you switch on, and it is not a bolt-on tool that sits off to one side. It is an intelligence layer that understands your operation the way a sharp dispatcher does, because it works from the same data your team does. It knows your trips, your vendors, your drivers, and your customers.
That understanding is what lets Inai act. Give it a job and it carries it out from start to finish, whether that means handling a step inside the system or picking up the phone to a person who needs to hear from you. It is built to take on a growing range of everyday tasks, so work moves forward on its own rather than waiting in a queue for someone to get to it. The rest of this post walks through the jobs Inai handles today, starting with the one that started it all.
The flagship job: automated bidding
Bidding is where Inai began. Traditionally you send a trip to a shortlist of vendors over email or WhatsApp and wait for them to bid. Some reply quickly. Others see the message after the load is already gone, so a vendor who would have quoted a sharp rate never gets the chance, and you never get their number.
Inai removes the wait. Give it the trip and your qualified vendors, and it reaches each vendor and, for anyone interested, captures the bid and writes it back into HashTMS. It runs those calls in parallel, so a full slate of bids that used to take an afternoon of manual dialing comes back in minutes. Every qualified vendor is reached, not just the first few someone managed to phone before lunch.
That wider participation is where the savings come from. When all your vendors are reached, you award from the best of all of them, rather than the best of the three who happened to be near their phone. And because every bid is logged automatically, there is no quiet side conversation and no room to rig a rate based on inside information. Procurement becomes something you can audit instead of something you have to trust.
Other jobs Inai handles today
Bidding is the flagship, but it is not the whole of what Inai does. Much of what keeps an operation clean is just someone remembering to follow up, and Inai takes those on the moment the system sees a gap.
A driver stopped where they should not be. When a vehicle stops off its route and stays there beyond a set time, that is worth a phone call. It might be a tea break. It might also be a breakdown, or a driver who needs help. Inai calls the driver to ask if everything is alright and whether they need any assistance, and logs the response against the trip, so your control room knows within minutes whether to relax or to act.
A delivered trip with no POD. A trip is delivered but the proof of delivery has not been uploaded, and that gap quietly holds up your invoice. Instead of an operator having to remember, Inai reminds the person responsible to upload the POD the moment the trip closes, rather than at month end when the billing team finally catches it.
Revenue sitting in an unpaid invoice. Overdue receivables are often just a matter of nobody making the call. Inai can ring a customer about an unpaid invoice and remind them politely about the outstanding amount and its due date. It is consistent and it does not forget, which frees your accounts team from the least pleasant part of their week.
This list grows over time. Because Inai is the AI inside the platform rather than a fixed feature, we can point it at more of the everyday work as we go.
Why it works inside HashTMS
Everything Inai does is triggered by something HashTMS already knows. A delivered trip with no POD, or an invoice past its due date, is enough to set it off, and the outcome flows back into the same records your team already works from. There is no separate dashboard to check and no data to reconcile against your TMS.
Where a job needs a real conversation, Inai handles that too. Much of the Indian logistics chain still runs on phone calls, and drivers, small fleet owners, operators, and customers respond to a call far faster than to an email or another app notification. Inai makes those calls itself and scales them in a way a human desk never could, by placing many at once and never running out of hours in the day. It also brings a consistency a busy afternoon cannot offer, handling every job the same way and never needing a reminder to follow up.
